The blood drive will take place in the main room of the Senior Center on Tuesday from noon to 6 p.m., and on Wednesday from 7:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The blood drive program leader is Bill Dinkell.
"With more than 40 open appointments, we may not meet our goal for this 2-day drive," said the Red Cross. "These units are promised to hospitals and must be collected."
The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill the need for patients in the community.
According to the Red Cross, nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every two-to-three seconds and most people will need blood in their lifetime.
Download the Red Cross Blood Donor App on the App Store, Google Play or text BLOODAPP to 90999 to schedule appointments, view your blood type and results of your mini-physical, and track your donations.
