[FORD COUNTY, Kan.]

Deport Theater in Dodge City, Kan. is starting the process of building their "MisCast Cabaret" slated to appear on the Depot Theater Stage on Oct. 28 through the 30.

The purpose of the "MisCast Cabaret" is to give performers the opportunity to perform selections from musical theatre in roles in which they would normally not be cast because of gender, age, race, and ethnicity.

Rehearsals will take place once a week during the weekends of September and October.

“This gives the performer the opportunity to perform pieces they are aching to perform,” said Jon Montgomery, Artistic Director. “All ages, genders, races, and ethnicities are encouraged to participate. All are welcomed.”

People interested in performing in the "MisCast Cabaret" and would like more information, reach out to Artistic Director Jon Montgomery before the end of the day Friday, Aug. 26 at artisticdirector@depottheater.com.

The Dodge City Depot Theater is located at 201 E. Wyatt Earp Blvd. and can be reached at 620-225-1001.
