Four Arrested Following Cross State Pursuit Beginning in Seward County

[SEWARD COUNTY, Kan.]


Following a robbery in Liberal, Kan. four people, consisting of two males and two females, were arrested on Monday, May 30, following a cross State chase through Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.


At approximately 6:48 p.m., Liberal Police Department (LPD) were dispatched to the 900 block of Millwood Circle where an armed robbery was reported to have just taken place.


While there, officers learned two adult men held another at gunpoint while they stole several items from the residence.


The LPD were able to locate the suspects’ vehicle within minutes of the robbery and a vehicle chase ensued. LPD officers pursued the suspects into Beaver County, Okla. Oklahoma law enforcement took over the chase from there.


The suspects continued to elude officers into Ochiltree County, Texas. They eventually ran out of gas in Ochiltree County, concluding the pursuit.


Property from the robbery and a firearm were recovered from the vehicle along the highway.


The four suspects were arrested in connection with the incident.


“The Liberal Police Department would like to thank Beaver County Sheriff’s Department, the Ochiltree County Sheriff's Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety for their assistance in this case,” said LPD in a release.
