Garden City Man Arrested in Connection to May Shooting

[FINNEY COUNTY, Kan.]

The Garden City Police Department (GCPD) made an arrest on June 17 in connection to an assault last month.

Jason Paxson, 20, Garden City, Kan., was charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder (x2), Criminal Discharge of a Firearm, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.

On May 10, Officers of the Garden City Police Department responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of A Street.

Upon arrival, Officers located two individuals with gunshot wounds. The individuals were transported to St. Catherine Hospital for treatment.

Paxson was lodged in the Finney County Jail. The case has been forwarded to the Finney County Attorney’s Office for further review.
