Garden City Police Department Searching for Driver in Hit-and-Run

Garden City Police Department (GCPD) is seeking civilian assistance in identifying the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado involved in a hit and run accident from July 3.


At around 12:50 a.m., Garden City Police Department and Finney County EMS were dispatched to a pedestrian accident involving a 44-year-old man at the intersection of Fulton Street and 12th Street.


Upon arrival, authorities located the man lying in the roadway. The man was alert and able to speak to Officers. The investigation revealed that the man had left El Patron Bar and was crossing Fulton Street when he was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado.


Witnesses said the Silverado was driving recklessly, and the vehicle fled the accident scene before officers arrived.


The man sustained several injuries and was transported to St. Catherine Hospital for treatment.


GCPD are attempting to identify the driver of the vehicle, and are seeking community assistance with the ongoing investigation.
