Men's Golf Earns Tenth Place Finish at Nationals

Competing at Nationals for the 32nd straight year the Dodge City men's golf program put together a Top 10 finish as a team claiming tenth place marking the fifth time under Head Coach, Chris Robinson a Conquistador men's golf team has finished in the Top 10.

The Conqs would put together a four-round score of 1175 with their best round coming on the final day as they carded a -1 with a 287. The tenth-place finish was an eight-spot improvement from the 2021 National tournament, it also gave them a tenth-place finish in the final Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Division I Coaches Poll.

Leading the way individually for the Conqs was Supakit Seelanagae who finished with a four-round score of 290 to finish tied for 20th. He shot a pair of rounds under par with a 71 on day two and 70 in his final round.

George Fricker put together a four-round score of 295 to finish tied for 39th with his best round coming on day one of competition when he posted an even-par 72.

Brent Reintjes and Austin Goodrum both carded four-round scores of 299 to tie for 60th place. For Brent, his best round was his final round when he posted a 71 to finish -1 for the round, while Goodrum tallied a pair of even-par 72 rounds to highlight his tournament.

Evan Lindsey finished with a four-round score of 303 to finish tied for 75th. Lindsey saved his best round for the final day when he shot a 73.

The Conqs capped a great year with their tenth place finish at Nationals as they finished as KJCCC & Region VI Runner-ups and fourth in the Central District.
