Men's Golf Takes Third at Jayhawk Championship Tournament & Finishes Second in Overall Jayhawk Stand

Dodge City men's golf team capped Jayhawk Conference play by competing in the Jayhawk Championship tournament in Newton at Sand Creek Station golf course and finished third at the tournament, while the finish earned the Conquistadors a second-place finish overall in the Jayhawk standings for the spring.
The Conqs behind team rounds of 297, 293, and 295 finished with a time score of 885 to finish third in the tournament.
Leading the way for the Conqs was Supakit Seelanagae who shot a 215 over three rounds his best round coming in the second round as he shot a 69. Seelanagae finished tied for third at the tournament and finished third in the Conference standings overall to earn first-team All-Conference honors.
George Fricker finished with a 223 to tie for ninth place at the Jayhawk Championships and earned honorable mention All-Conference honors for his performance over Conference play in the spring. Brent Reintjes also posted a 223 to tie for ninth and his performance during Conference play in the spring earned him first-team All-Conference honors.
Woramett Bodhidatta finished 21st at the Jayhawk Championships after posting a score of 229 and earned second-team All-Conference after his performances this spring.
Also, in competition for the Conqs at the Jayhawk Championships were Cole Streck, Cholnan Nunya, Luka Stanisavljevic, Carson Briggs, and Davan Smith. Streck, Nunyam, and Stanisavljevic all finished with 231 three-round scores to tie for 23rd, while Briggs finished with a 237 to place 30th.
Up next the Conqs will tie for a District III and Region VI Championship and spot at the NJCAA National Championships when they hit the links on April 25th-26th and compete at Crestview Country Club – North in Wichita.
