Men's Golf Wins Bethel Invite as Top Five Spots at Tournament Captured by Conqs

After opening the spring season with a conference tournament win the Dodge City men's golf team brought home more hardware by winning the Bethel Invite.

The Conquistadors competed at both the Hesston golf course and Sand Creek Station golf course for the Bethel Invite posting a team score of 572 with rounds of 283 and 289 claiming first place by 15-strokes. The Conqs beat out two other junior colleges along with several KCAC NAIA schools.

Leading the Conquistador performances at the tournament was the play of Evan Lindsey who carded a six-under-par for a two-round score of 137. Lindsey's rounds of 69 and 68 earned him his first collegiate tournament title.

Supakit Seelanagae was one stroke behind Lindsey posting a pair of 69 rounds for a 138 to finish five-under to earn second place. Luka Stanisavljevic and George Fricker each carded a two-round score of 140 for three-under and tied for third place. Brent Reintjes finished one under par with a 142 and finished fifth.

Kitsakon Jairak shot a 147 over two rounds and tied for ninth place at the Bethel Invite, while Woramett Bodhidatta and Austin Goodrum finished 23rd and 27th, respectively with scores of 152 and 155.

Conqs team score was comprised of Seelanagae, Fricker, Reintjes, and Bodhidatta.

Spring season continues for the Conqs with Jayhawk Match II coming up on April 11th-12th in Wichita at Crestview Country Club.
