Men's Soccer Breaks into NJCAA DI National Rankings at #19

Dodge City men's soccer team is off to their best start in school history sitting at 4-1 through the first five games of the season and have started to get some attention at the national level breaking into the NJCAA Division I Top 20 rankings.


The ranking marks the first time under Head Coach, Oscar Zelaya that the program is ranked nationally.


Three other KJCCC schools are in the polls also as Cowley checks in at #3, Barton comes in at #12, and Coffeyville is ranked #17.


The Conquistadors strong start to the year has come with a strong statistical start to the year also, as the Conqs rank towards the top of the NJCAA DI in multiple categories. Conqs lead the nation in shots (115) and shots on goal (67), while ranking second in assists (22), shots per game (23), and goals (27). Conqs are also tenth in the nation in corner kicks with 26 on the season.


Up next is a big week for the Conqs as they take host #12 Barton on Wednesday at 3:00 pm and travel to take on #17 Coffeyville on Saturday, September 10th at 1:00 pm.
