Person Found With Lacerations on Neck; Scott City Woman Arrested

Scott City Police Department (SCPD) announced on Sept. 13, they arrested a woman, after they discovered an injured person.


Rachel Burdick, 48, Scott City, Kan., was arrested for Aggravated Battery and Interference with Law Enforcement.


At 7:57 p.m. on Sept. 12, officers were sent to the 1500 block of Myrtle Street for a victim suffering a laceration to the neck.


Investigation led officers to conduct an extensive search. Burdick was located at 101 N Main Street.


At approximately 10:21 p.m., Burdick was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail.


The Kansas Highway Patrol also assisted with the arrest.


The case has been referred to the Scott County Attorney for prosecution.
