A Syracuse, Kan. man and woman died in a single vehicle crash on March 24, shortly before midnight on Kansas Highway 27 in Hamilton County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) crash log, a 2005 BMW 745 was southbound on Highway 27 when it crossed the centerline and went off the road to the left at East River Road.
The driver, Gabriel Gonzales, 35, Dexter, N.M., oversteered and the vehicle returned to the highway.
The BMW then began to rotate on all four tires in a clockwise direction before going off the road to the right and into the west ditch. The car rolled an unknown number of times before it came to rest just north of West River Road and west of Kansas Highway 27 on its side, stated the KHP.
The two passengers in the car, Ty Fulmer, 36, and Adriana Zapata-Munoz, 26, died in the crash. Neither was wearing a seatbelt, according to the KHP crash log.
Gonzales, who was reported to have been wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan. for treatment of suspected serious injury.
