Women's 4x100m Relay National Qualifying Performance Leads Conqs Track & Field Team at Thunderbird C

Dodge City's track and field team was led by a National qualifying performance at the Thunderbird Classic hosted by Cloud County in Concordia on Saturday as they continued the outdoor season.
The quartet of Brianisha Rolling, Machala Hengen, Krissalynn Henderson, and On'Hay Phillips raced to a time of 48.17 in the 4x100 meter relay and qualified for NJCAA National Outdoor Championships with the performance.
Hengen who qualified for Nationals in the 400-meter hurdles earlier this season put together her best time of the outdoor season in the event with a time of 1:05.14, while she posted a time of 14.74 finishing just .04 seconds off qualifying for Nationals. For Phillips individually she led the Conquistadors in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.16 which was just .12 seconds off National qualifying. Phillips also finished just 0.64 seconds from National qualifying in the 200-meter dash posting a time of 25.22.
Shade Torres who qualified for Nationals in the javelin earlier in the outdoor season posted her best throw of the season with a toss of 39.16 meters (128'06").
On the men's side of competition, Tishere Dockery raced to a time of 56.11 in the 400-meter hurdles finishing just .91 seconds off National qualifying. Seth Ridenour sprinted to a time of 21.96 in the 200-meter dash finishing just .60 seconds off the National qualifying time.
Ridenour, Dockery, and Bryson Raymond each posted times of 11.14, 11.14, and 11.28 all finishing under one second away from the National qualifying time in the 100-meter dash.
Up next the Conqs will wrap up the regular season for outdoor competition as they will compete at the Alex Francis Classic at Fort Hays State University on Friday, April 29th.
